To em·pow·er means to give someone the authority or power to do something (by authorizing or allowing) or to make someone stronger and more confident, especially in controlling their life and claiming their rights, by emancipating, unshackling, setting free or liberating them.

Tumors tend to disempower long after the intruders are removed. Life has kicked me in the teeth enough times in the last few years to show me I will always bounce back up, bruised and bloody perhaps but standing.  I’ve survived the years of not wanting to stick around.  Now I’d like to find out how to live life other than in survival mode.
